The standards that govern everything Madiline publishes.
Last updated: May 2026
Editorial Independence
Madiline is independently owned and editorially led. We are not aligned with political parties, investment groups, developers, or outside commercial interests, and advertising does not shape our editorial judgment.
Our role is simple: gather evidence, apply rigour, and publish what the information reveals about the places, pressures, and decisions shaping where people choose to live, invest, and build their lives.
Source Standards
Every factual claim published by Madiline is grounded in primary data, institutional research, contributor expertise, or clearly signalled inference based on available evidence.
We do not publish unattributed quotes, unsupported statistics, or manufactured certainty. When information is incomplete, conflicting, or still emerging, we say so directly.
Corrections
Madiline does not quietly revise reporting. When an error is found, we issue a clear correction at the top of the article explaining the change. We believe that evolving our intelligence as better information becomes available isn't a failure of our process — it's the process working exactly as it should.
AI and Editorial Partnerships
Madiline uses artificial intelligence as a research, synthesis, and analytical tool. All published work passes through human editorial oversight before publication. Editorial judgment, factual verification, scoring decisions, and publishing responsibility remain human at every stage.
Editorial Partnerships are produced to the same standard as all Madiline reporting: the same evidence requirements, the same scoring rigour, and the same editorial discipline. Sponsored or commissioned work is always clearly disclosed.
